MCQ
Geometry: parallel lines and angles MCQ - Practice Questions with Answers
Solve 1 Geometry: parallel lines and angles questions for RAS/RPSC preparation.
Practice questions
Q1In the given figure, if PQ || RS, angle QPE = 128° and angle PER = 148°, then angle SRM is equal to:
Explanation
Since PQ and RS are parallel, use the angles made by the broken transversal with the two parallel lines. The angle between PQ and PE on the inside is 180° - 128° = 52°. At E, the given 148° leaves an exterior turn of 32°. So the acute angle made by RM with the parallel direction is 52° + 32° = 84°. The required angle SRM is the supplementary angle, 180° - 84° = 96°. Thus 88°, 92° and 98° do not match the angle chase.
