Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how we issue refunds for purchases on Aspirant Academy. It supplements the refund language in section 3 of our Terms of Service. All amounts below are pre-GST; checkout adds 18% GST per the Goods & Services Tax Act, 2017.

1. Packages (Study, Tests or Practice, Complete Course, Gate Pass)

  • All paid packages are one-time purchases for a fixed duration (365 days for packs, 30 days for the Gate Pass), at the live prices shown on the /pricing page. They are non-refundable for the unused period once activated. Retired legacy plans held by existing users follow the same rule until expiry.
  • If you delete your account during the package window, no refund is issued for the remaining time.
  • There is no automatic refund window. Refund requests are reviewed only when there is a genuine billing or technical defect (see section 6 below).

2. Single-paper evaluation (₹99)

  • The single-paper evaluation SKU is refundable in full if you request a refund before the AI evaluation begins.
  • Once we have started the evaluation (typically within minutes of upload), the SKU is non-refundable. The compute cost has already been incurred at that point.

3. Content packages

  • Every content package currently sold for an exam — Study Pack, Test Series or Practice Pack, Complete Course where available, and the 30-day Gate Pass — follows the same rule: non-refundable after activation. Retired legacy bundles (Current Affairs passes, REET Crashpass) held by existing users follow the same rule until their expiry.

4. Coupons, vouchers, and bundled deals

  • Refunds for plans purchased via coupon, voucher, partner bundle, or institutional programme follow the terms of the issuing programme, which override this policy. Contact the issuer of the coupon or voucher first.

5. Service issues

  • If our service is unavailable for more than 24 hours due to our fault, we extend your plan duration by an equivalent period at no charge instead of issuing a cash refund.
  • Short third-party outages (Razorpay, Firebase, Google Cloud, etc.) of less than 24 hours are not refundable, in line with section 6 of our Terms of Service.

6. Genuine billing disputes — how to request

  • If you were charged more than once for the same plan, or your plan failed to activate after a successful payment, email support@aspirant.academy from the email or phone number on your account.
  • Include your Razorpay order ID, the date and amount of the charge, and a brief description of the issue.
  • We respond within 5 working days. Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days; reflection in your bank takes a further 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
