NITI Aayog launched the Central Prabhari Officer Portal on May 5, 2026 to strengthen real-time governance, improve coordination among stakeholders and accelerate last-mile delivery under the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme. The portal was formally launched in a virtual event by Nidhi Chhibber, CEO of NITI Aayog, who described it as a step towards a transparent and responsive governance ecosystem. The platform enables real-time submission and tracking of field observations so that ground-level insights can directly inform policy action and administrative intervention. Rohit Kumar, Additional Secretary and Mission Director for the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme, stressed data-driven governance and the role of Central Prabhari Officers in providing field-level insights. The portal is designed as an advanced digital platform to capture real-time observations, streamline communication and enable faster administrative response across all levels of governance. Through mobile submission, Central Prabhari Officers can send field observations and recommendations. Once submitted, the data goes live and districts can view the suggestions, take appropriate action and submit responses. State Planning Secretaries get an overview for coordinating across departments and recording feedback. At the same time, officers in NITI Aayog, line ministries and departments can monitor the inputs. The portal therefore acts as a unified digital interface between field observation and administrative action. By enabling instant visibility, structured monitoring and accountability, it is expected to improve implementation efficiency and responsiveness in Aspirational Districts and Blocks. NITI Aayog also said dedicated training sessions will be held for stakeholders.
