ETInfra Reports Ceigall India-SAM India Builtwell JV Won Rs 918.04 Crore Jaipur Metro Phase-II EPC Contract on 2 May 2026 for 10.8 km Elevated Viaduct and 10 Stations

ETInfra reported on 2 May 2026 that Ceigall India Limited's joint venture with SAM India Builtwell had secured a Rs 918.04 crore contract from Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation for part of the Jaipur Metro Phase-II project. The contract was awarded under an EPC and item-rate model and is domestic in nature. According to the report, the company received the letter of acceptance on Friday for the engineering, procurement and construction package, and the work is scheduled to be completed in 34 months. The project covers design and construction of a 10.8 km elevated viaduct and 10 elevated stations, with a spur line to the depot. The stations named in the package are Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate and Pinjrapole Gaushala. The scope excludes architectural finishing and spans chainage from minus 600 metres to 11,400 metres. The work will be executed by the CIL-SAM India joint venture, in which Ceigall India holds a 74 per cent stake and SAM India Builtwell holds 26 per cent. The company said the order does not involve any related-party transactions. For Rajasthan, the project is significant because Jaipur Metro Phase-II is a major urban-mobility expansion for the capital city. The package links planned southern and eastern growth areas with mass transit infrastructure and pushes the project from approval toward execution. Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India, described the package as an important milestone as the company expands beyond roads and highways into urban mobility. The report also framed metro rail infrastructure as part of India's sustainable urban development agenda and Jaipur's next phase of modern transit connectivity.
