Quick answer

REET-qualified candidates are appointed as Grade-III teachers in Rajasthan and placed at Pay Level L-10. The first two years apply Schedule IV (Rule 16) fixed probation remuneration of ₹23,700 per month, with no DA or HRA. After confirmation, Cell 1 of L-10 is ₹33,800; Senior Teacher promotion (L-12) lands at ₹44,300; Headmaster (L-13) at ₹53,100. DA default is 58% (effective 01 July 2025).

Adjust the salary model

Important assumptions

  • Pay levels and starting cells are grounded in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017 — Notification F.15(1)FD(Rules)/2017 dated 09 December 2017.
  • Probation remuneration uses Schedule IV (Rule 16) of the same notification — fixed ₹23,700 per month at L-10 for the first two years, no allowances.
  • DA defaults to 58% per Finance Department order F.6(3)FD(Rules)/2017 dated 03 October 2025 (effective 01 July 2025).
  • HRA bands are Y-class 20% and Z-class 10% under the Rajasthan HRA rules (with DA above 50%).
  • NPS is the standard 10% employee contribution on Basic + DA. Other personal deductions are user-entered.

Frequently asked questions

What official sources back the pay levels in this tool?

The pay levels and Cell-1 entries come from the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017 — Notification F.15(1)FD(Rules)/2017 of the Government of Rajasthan Finance Department, dated 09 December 2017. Probation remuneration uses Schedule IV (Rule 16) of the same notification: ₹23,700 per month at Pay Level 10 for the first two years, with no DA, HRA, or other allowance.

Is the 58% DA default current?

It is the latest visible Rajasthan Finance Department order at the time this calculator was authored — Order F.6(3)FD(Rules)/2017 dated 03 October 2025, which revised DA from 55% to 58% with effect from 01 July 2025. DA is editable so the tool stays accurate as new orders are issued.

Why does HRA jump between Y-class and Z-class postings?

Rajasthan Finance Department classifies postings into Y-class (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer) and Z-class (other Rajasthan locations). When DA crosses 50%, HRA is 20% of basic pay for Y-class and 10% for Z-class. Government accommodation overrides the cash HRA — the tool zeros HRA when that toggle is on.

Why does this page call itself an estimator?

Because actual in-hand salary varies with personal tax position, optional deductions like cooperative dues, society subscription, and pay-fixation events on annual increment dates. Pay levels and the gazette-cited rates are fixed; everything below the gross line moves with individual circumstances.
