RAS Eligibility Checker

This checker is intentionally conservative. As of April 10, 2026, we did not find a newer official RAS combined-services recruitment advertisement on the RPSC site than Advt. 13/2024-25 dated September 2, 2024, so the tool uses that advertisement’s age basis date of 1 January 2025.

Last updated: April 10, 2026

FAQ

What official basis is this tool using on April 10, 2026?

The latest official combined-services recruitment advertisement visible on the RPSC site on April 10, 2026 is Advt. 13/2024-25 dated September 2, 2024. This tool uses that advertisement as its rule basis and therefore uses January 1, 2025 as the reference date.

Does “40 years” here include a candidate who is exactly 40 on the reference date?

No. The official wording is effectively “must have attained 21 years and must not have attained 40 years” on the reference date. This checker treats the upper limit as exclusive in the same way for the common-case bands it supports.

Does this cover every special-case relaxation in the advertisement?

No. This first version covers the common direct-recruitment cases and the additional benchmark-disability relaxation. It does not model every special case such as ex-servicemen, reservists, NCC-related cases, or candidates already serving in specific government bodies.

What is the educational qualification in the latest official ad?

The official advertisement requires a degree from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government in consultation with the Commission.
