The Fourth Session of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 4:58 pm by Speaker Vasudev Devnani. The session, which opened on September 1, 2025, comprised six sittings across ten days and ran for a total of 18 hours and 40 minutes. The Assembly transacted a substantial legislative load during the session — seven new bills were introduced and three bills reported back by the Select Committee were taken up, bringing the total to ten bills passed and one bill withdrawn. Bills cleared in the session included the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences, Jaipur Bill, 2025, the Rajasthan Health Sciences University (Amendment) Bill, 2025, the Factories (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill, 2025 permitting women to work night shifts, the Rajasthan Appropriation (No. 3) Bill, 2025, the Rajasthan GST (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2025. On the question hour front, 3,008 questions were received in the session — 1,237 starred, 1,770 unstarred and one short notice question — with 53 of the 120 listed starred questions asked and answered orally. Members filed 134 adjournment motions, of which 21 were admitted and 17 MLAs presented their views; 437 Rule 131 attention proposals were received with 14 rejected; and 95 special mention motions were received with 78 taken up. Of the 161 amendment proposals submitted on various bills, 115 were accepted and 46 rejected at the secretariat level. The session's formal prorogation by the Governor followed on October 6, 2025.
