The North Western Railway (NWR) on April 9, 2026 announced a weekly superfast summer special train between Okha in Gujarat and Shakurbasti in Delhi that will run through Rajasthan from April 14 to June 30, 2026, operating 12 round trips to absorb the summer vacation passenger surge. Train number 09523 from Okha will depart every Tuesday at 10:20 AM, reaching Jaipur at 4:10 AM the next day and Shakurbasti at 10:35 AM. The return train number 09524 will depart Shakurbasti every Wednesday at 1:15 PM, arrive in Jaipur at 6:20 PM and reach Okha at 1:00 PM the following day. The train will stop at 11 stations in Rajasthan: Abu Road, Falna, Marwar Junction, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui and Alwar, giving through connectivity from Saurashtra coast to the National Capital Region via western Rajasthan, Ajmer–Jaipur belt and the Jaipur–Alwar corridor. The rake will be made up of 16 coaches: 1 Second AC, 2 Third AC, 1 Third AC Economy, 6 Sleeper Class, 4 General Coaches, 1 Power Car and 1 Guard coach, providing the full fare-class mix that summer migrant and family travellers typically need. The announcement was issued by Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, headquartered in Jaipur, as part of the zone's seasonal capacity augmentation for the April-June rush between Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi NCR.
