On Tuesday, 14 April 2026, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma led the state-level commemoration of the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar at Bhawani Niketan in Jaipur, framing it as a renewed commitment to Antyodaya — service to the last person in society. The Chief Minister announced that 200 Ambedkar e-Libraries would be established across urban Rajasthan to give Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other underprivileged students subsidised access to digital learning resources, competitive examination materials and study cubicles. He also announced a residential coaching centre at the Ambedkar Chair in Mundla, Jaipur, for aspirants preparing for civil services, RAS, RPSC and central recruitment examinations. In a single Direct Benefit Transfer, ₹1,363 crore was credited to beneficiaries of state pension and caregiver schemes. The Chief Minister inaugurated 10 hostel buildings, laid the foundations of 17 buildings, and virtually opened a library at the Jhamdoli Swayyamsiddha campus. He launched 'Samadhan Sathi', an AI-powered help-desk to digitally assist citizens accessing welfare schemes, certificates and grievance-redressal channels. Sharma stated that Dr Ambedkar's philosophy of education, social equality and constitutional governance forms the foundation of his government's outreach to backward, marginalised and last-mile citizens, and noted that millions of Rajasthan's SC/ST students have benefited under expanded scholarship schemes. The day also saw a separate Ambedkar Jayanti event in Tonk where MP Harish Chandra Meena criticised the BJP's record on social welfare.
