On October 18–19, 2025, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma directly transferred ₹717.96 crore (~₹718 crore) to the bank accounts of over 72 lakh (7.2 million) farmers as the 4th installment under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (CM-KSNY). The state scheme supplements the central PM-KISAN scheme: while PM-KISAN provides ₹6,000/year (3 installments of ₹2,000), CM-KSNY provides an additional ₹3,000/year (3 installments of ₹1,000), taking total annual support to ₹9,000 per farmer via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Launched in June 2024, the scheme benefits small and marginal farmers across Rajasthan and reduces their dependence on informal credit. The CM stated that the Bhajanlal government remains committed to farmer welfare and doubling farm incomes.
