In October 2025, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma transferred ₹717.96 crore under the 4th instalment of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, benefitting 71.79 lakh Rajasthan farmers through DBT at ₹1,000 per farmer, as recorded in Rajasthan Economic Review 2026-27. This state scheme supplements the central PM-KISAN programme. PM-KISAN is a Central Sector Scheme launched on 24 February 2019; it transfers ₹6,000 per year in three instalments to eligible landholding farmer families across India, subject to exclusions. The scheme was initially limited to small and marginal farmers with holdings up to 2 hectares, but since 1 June 2019 its scope has covered all landholding farmer families subject to exclusions.
