On November 13, 2025, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari unveiled the official poster of Ghoomar Festival 2025 at Tourism Bhavan in Jaipur, announcing that for the first time in Rajasthan's history, the festival would be celebrated simultaneously at all seven divisional headquarters — Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, and Bharatpur — on November 19, 2025. The Ghoomar is Rajasthan's iconic folk dance, traditionally performed by women in swirling colourful attire, representing the cultural heritage of the state. The state-level event in Jaipur was scheduled at the football ground of Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium. Diya Kumari stated the festival would celebrate Rajasthan's cultural essence, women's empowerment, and the timeless beauty of traditional art. The event ultimately witnessed 6,100 women simultaneously performing Ghoomar across all divisions, a feat recorded by the Asia Book of Records. The simultaneous multi-city format is part of the Bhajanlal Sharma government's strategy to promote Rajasthan's cultural tourism nationally and internationally, aligning with the state's robust tourism policy and Rajasthan Utsav brand.
