The first Kota Hadoti Travel Mart (KHTM) 2026 was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla at the iconic Chambal River Front, Kota, in January 2026. Organised by Rajasthan Tourism (Government of Rajasthan) in association with the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan – Kota Division, the three-day event was held from January 2–4, 2026. The event hosted over 450 tour operators, travel professionals, media representatives, and influencers from across India. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also highlighted the tourism potential of the Hadoti region. Om Birla emphasised that Hadoti offers a rare confluence of heritage, natural beauty, and cultural richness — with largely untapped tourism potential. Key attractions highlighted include: Chambal River Front and River Safari, Taragarh Fort (Bundi), Gagron Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jhalawar), Shahabad Fort (Baran), Bundi's step-wells (baoris), and Kota's historic palace and museums. The Hadoti region encompasses four districts: Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran. The Travel Mart aims to position Hadoti on the national and global tourism map, attract private investment, enable direct business-to-business (B2B) connections between tourism stakeholders, and leverage the region's position along the Chambal River corridor. For RPSC RAS context: Gagron Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2013) under the Hill Forts of Rajasthan series. Hadoti's Chandrabhaga Fair (Jhalawar) and Kota Dussehra (famous for giant effigies) are significant cultural tourism assets.
