The government invited approximately 10,000 Special Guests from across India to the 77th Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path. The guests included farmers, artisans, scientists, innovators, women entrepreneurs, students, sportspersons, beneficiaries of flagship government schemes, and frontline workers. This initiative, started in recent years, aims to make Republic Day a truly people's celebration rather than a purely ceremonial event. The guests were given premium seating at the parade and were recognised for their contributions to nation-building. The diverse representation highlighted India's progress across agriculture, innovation, sports, and social welfare sectors.
