Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 50th PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) meeting on December 31, 2025, marking a milestone in India's e-governance and project monitoring landscape. PRAGATI is an ICT-based multi-modal platform for addressing public grievances and monitoring government programmes and projects.
The 50th meeting reviewed progress on flagship central schemes and state-level projects, emphasizing accountability and timely project delivery. Launched in March 2015, the PRAGATI platform has reviewed projects worth more than ₹85 lakh crore since inception and addressed lakhs of public grievances.
Inspired by the success of the PRAGATI model, Rajasthan became the first state in India to replicate this framework at the state level through the launch of Raj-UNNATI. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Chief Secretary V. Srinivas jointly reviewed seven infrastructure and governance projects worth ₹1,943 crore under this initiative.
Raj-UNNATI operates as a state-level ICT platform to monitor projects, ensure inter-departmental coordination, and resolve implementation bottlenecks in real time. The platform focuses on transparency, outcome-based monitoring, and reducing delays in government project execution. Rajasthan's adoption of the PRAGATI model signals a broader shift toward e-governance, data-driven decision-making, and proactive administration at the sub-national level.
The initiative is significant for aspirants preparing for the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) examination, as it reflects the state government's focus on governance reforms, digital administration, and alignment with central government frameworks. Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, a senior IAS officer, leads the implementation drive, underscoring the importance of bureaucratic accountability in project delivery.
