The Rajasthan State Assembly's Budget Session commenced on January 28, 2026, following an all-party meeting convened by Speaker Vasudev Devnani. The session was preceded by a Cabinet meeting under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma which approved key ordinances including the Rajasthan Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Ordinance, 2025 and the Rajasthan Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Ordinance 2025, along with amendments to the Panchayati Raj Act and the Municipal Act.

As part of pre-budget consultations, CM Bhajanlal Sharma held a meeting with female students to understand their priorities for the forthcoming budget. The annual budget for financial year 2026–27 was subsequently presented by Deputy CM and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, with significant allocations announced for roads, employment, and social empowerment schemes. The session is of major relevance for RPSC RAS aspirants as it shapes the state's policy and fiscal direction for the coming year.
