China's Executive Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu held a new round of China-India Strategic Dialogue with Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in New Delhi on February 10, 2026, on the sidelines of the BRICS Sherpa Meeting (February 8-10).

Both sides had 'friendly, candid and in-depth' discussions on bilateral ties, border stability, and the international situation. Key focuses included stabilizing LAC ties, resuming air services, and expediting business, student and journalist visa facilitation. Both sides agreed to support each other's work as BRICS Chair for 2026 (Brazil) and 2027 (India). This was described as a 'step toward normalisation of ties'.
