The Rajasthan state government announced a major beekeeping promotion initiative for 2025-26, distributing 50,000 bee colonies and 50,000 bee boxes to farmers and beekeepers with a 40% subsidy from a total allocation of ₹8 crore.

Additionally, 1,000 beekeepers are being assisted at ₹9,000 per beekeeper for migration of bee colonies during pollen shortages and high temperatures. Beekeeping kits are being distributed to 1,000 beekeepers at ₹2 crore. Under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, Centres of Excellence for Beekeeping are being established in Bharatpur and Tonk districts at ₹10 crore each, providing modern facilities including scientific training, technical guidance, quality colonies, processing, branding, packaging, marketing, and honey quality testing.
