Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Pachpadra in Barmer district on 4 July 2026, for the dedication (lokarpan) of the Rajasthan Refinery, have entered their final stage. To make the event historic and well-organised, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma personally reached Pachpadra on Sunday and carried out a detailed inspection of arrangements from the refinery complex to the event venue. He reviewed security, traffic, medical, drinking water, seating and event-management arrangements at various locations and directed officials that no negligence would be tolerated at any level.

The CM's tour began at the refinery complex, where he first inspected the Central Control Unit. Officials of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited briefed him on the refinery's modern technology, its production system, and the various petro-products and co-products manufactured there, also presenting product samples and describing the project as a milestone for the state's industrial development. At the venue, the CM offered prayers to Lord Govind Dev and inspected the main stage, VIP and public seating, entry and exit routes, parking, security barricading and the media gallery.

In the review meeting, anticipating the presence of lakhs of people, the CM stressed that security would be the topmost priority. He ordered adequate signboards, entry passes only after police verification, and, given the severe heat, sufficient drinking water along with medical kits, ambulances, doctors and first-aid centres. He also visited the Shaktipeeth Maa Sambhra Ashapura temple and directed the District Collector to prepare a DPR for its renovation to promote religious tourism. The visit is viewed as an important chapter in Rajasthan's industrial history.
