Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on 15 May 2026 inaugurated the state's first semiconductor cluster in Bhiwadi, marking a significant milestone in the state's industrial growth. The cluster involves an investment of Rs 1,200 crore and is expected to create around 2,500 jobs while producing 60 million chips annually. Bhiwadi, located in the Khairthal-Tijara district close to the Delhi-NCR region, has emerged as a major industrial hub in Rajasthan, and the semiconductor cluster strengthens the state's position in high-technology manufacturing aligned with the national India Semiconductor Mission. During the event, the Chief Minister stated that work on the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) connecting Rajasthan to Delhi via Haryana is progressing rapidly, along with the implementation of the Yamuna Water Agreement which is expected to improve water availability in the Shekhawati region. He also noted that under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, 85 railway stations are being constructed across Rajasthan, of which 15 have already been completed. A sewage treatment plant in Bhiwadi was also inaugurated to support the growing industrial and urban demand in the region. The Chief Minister emphasised that the state government is committed to making Rajasthan a leading destination for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, attracting investment, generating employment for the youth and building a robust industrial ecosystem in line with the vision of a developed and self-reliant Rajasthan.
