Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on 18 May 2026, addressing a virtual event from his residence, announced plans to develop a major new industrial area near Bandikui in the Khairthal-Tijara region of the Alwar district to boost industrial growth and employment opportunities. During the same event he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several projects in the Khairthal-Tijara district, including the Elsina Electronics Complex and a 34 Million Litres per Day (MLD) sewage treatment plant. The Chief Minister said the state government had introduced 35 new industrial and investment policies over the past two years to encourage investment and create an industry-friendly environment, with policies designed to address the practical problems investors typically face. He highlighted that the region benefits from its location within the National Capital Region (NCR) and alignment with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), supported by a strong manufacturing base, established supply chains and good road and rail connectivity, and noted ongoing efforts to connect Rajasthan to Delhi via the Regional Rapid Transit System routed through Haryana. The announcements build on Rajasthan's broader push under the Rising Rajasthan vision to attract private investment, expand electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, strengthen urban infrastructure such as sewage treatment, and generate employment across the eastern Rajasthan industrial belt, advancing the state's long-term economic development goals.
