Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the four-day Know Your Army exhibition in Jaipur on January 8, 2026, ahead of the historic 78th Army Day celebrations. The exhibition was held at Bhawani Niketan College campus on Sikar Road and ran from January 8 to 12, showcasing the Indian Army's operational capabilities, military equipment, and career opportunities.

The CM announced that Jaipur would host the 78th Army Day Parade on January 15, 2026 at Mahal Road, making it only the fourth city outside Delhi to host this prestigious national event. Previous editions outside the capital were held in Lucknow, Pune, and Bengaluru.

The exhibition featured an impressive display of military hardware including missiles, tanks, drones, and weapons systems. Visitors could interact with Army personnel and learn about various regimental histories and operational deployments. The five-day event attracted thousands of visitors daily, particularly students and youth who expressed interest in military careers.

The 78th Army Day Parade was subsequently held on January 15, 2026, drawing a massive public gathering along the Mahal Road route. The parade showcased the Indian Army's modernisation achievements, indigenous defence equipment, and ceremonial traditions. Holding the parade outside a military cantonment area for the first time was widely seen as a step toward strengthening civil-military relations and enhancing public appreciation of the armed forces' contribution to national security.
