Rajasthan's tableau in the 77th Republic Day parade (January 26, 2026), inspired by Bikaner's centuries-old Ustad art, won the third prize in the Popular Choice category. The results were announced in the first week of February. Ustad art, also known as golden lacquer work or 'Nakashi', involves intricate designs on camel hide using gold leaf, a tradition practiced by the Muslim artisan community of Bikaner for over 400 years.

The art form has Geographical Indication (GI) tag status and is practiced by artisans in Bikaner. The tableau showcased Rajasthan's unique art heritage and cultural synthesis. The state government announced additional support for Ustad artisans through the ODOP (One District, One Product) scheme.
