The Rajasthan government launched the Sahkar Membership Campaign from October 2 to 15, 2025, to expand the cooperative movement across the state. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma announced a plan to increase cooperative societies by 10%, with a focus on women and youth participation.

New Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) will be established in 2,158 gram panchayats where none currently exist. Over 8,600 PACS-level camps were organized statewide and 1.5 lakh applications were received. The government also announced plans for a new Cooperative Act to replace the existing 2001 law, with a five-member committee constituted to draft it.
