The 11th edition of the India-Seychelles Joint Military Exercise 'LAMITIYE-2026' began on March 9, 2026, scheduled for 12 days until March 20. LAMITIYE-2026 marked the first tri-service participation of the Indian Armed Forces in the exercise, involving personnel from the Assam Regiment along with Indian Navy and Indian Air Force contingents.

The exercise focused on sub-conventional operations in a semi-urban environment and cooperation and interoperability during peacekeeping operations. 'Lamitiye' means friendship in Seychellois Creole. The exercise strengthens India's defence engagement in the Indian Ocean Region as part of India's SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) vision.
