Exercise Agni Varsha 2026: Indian Army Demonstrates Integrated Combat Power at Pokhran, Rajasthan
Troops of the Southern Command conducted Exercise Agni Varsha at the Pokhran Field Firing Ranges in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on February 24, 2026, demonstrating operational readiness and integrated combat capabilities in the desert sector. The exercise validated offensive operations, synchronised manoeuvre and precision firepower under near-battlefield conditions.
Military assets deployed included T-90 tanks, K-9 Vajra self-propelled howitzers, Bofors artillery, AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, ALH Weapon System Integrated helicopters, and surveillance and strike drones. Extensive use was made of counter-drone technology and network-based surveillance. Foreign defence journalists from 25 countries witnessed the exercise.
