The 5th edition of India-Malaysia Joint Military Exercise 'Harimau Shakti 2025' commenced on December 5 at Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, scheduled to run until December 18. The Indian contingent was represented by troops from the Dogra Regiment (120 personnel), while Malaysia fielded 70 troops from the 25th Battalion Royal Malaysian Army.

The exercise aims to jointly rehearse Sub Conventional Operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations mandate, including counter-terrorist operations. Training included cordon-search-and-destroy missions, heliborne operations, Army Martial Arts Routine (AMAR), combat reflex shooting, and Yoga. 'Harimau' means tiger in Malay, symbolising the combined strength of the two armies.
