GRAM 2026 is an important current-affairs topic linked with Rajasthan's agricultural economy and farmer-centric innovation. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet, or GRAM 2026, on December 29, 2025 as a three-day state-level programme. It was proposed at JECC, Jaipur for May 23-25, but the official event page now states that the programme has been postponed until further notice. For exam preparation, both the stated objectives and the current postponed status are important. Direct questions may also ask the date, venue and postponement status.

The meet is meant to bring farmers, livestock keepers, agricultural experts, scientists and technical specialists onto one platform. The official event page says thousands of farmers and livestock keepers from Rajasthan, along with experts, scientists and technical specialists from India and abroad, may participate. Planned components include agriculture and animal husbandry exhibitions, B2B and B2G meetings, farmer-scientist interactions and buyer-seller meets. Technical sessions are linked with drone technology, modern farm machinery, water management and agricultural exports.

From a governance perspective, the issue also highlights inter-departmental coordination. The Chief Minister directed coordination among the Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation and Irrigation departments. For grassroots outreach, awareness chariots at gram panchayat level and district curtain-raiser workshops were also planned. For RAS and UPSC preparation, the topic connects Rajasthan economy, agriculture, rural development, administrative coordination and the static-GK area of agriculture, industry and the service sector.
