The Sports Authority of India (SAI), in collaboration with the Rajasthan State Sports Council and the Government of Rajasthan, unveiled the Logo, Mascot, Torch, and Jersey for the 5th Edition of the Khelo India University Games (KIUG 2025) at the historic Amer Fort in Jaipur on November 14, 2025. The mascots — named 'Khamma' and 'Ghani' — are inspired by the camel, the state animal of Rajasthan, and the traditional Rajasthani greeting 'Khamma Ghani'. KIUG 2025 is scheduled from November 24 to December 5, 2025, across seven host cities: Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Bharatpur. A total of 4,448 athletes from 222 universities will compete in 23 medal sports including new additions like Beach Volleyball, Canoeing, Kayaking, and Cycling. Rajasthan is hosting a national-level university sports event of this magnitude for the first time. Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya termed KIUG a 'stepping stone to glory' for India's youth athletes. The event underscores Rajasthan's growing profile as a sports tourism destination.
