Key schemes: (1) Palanhaar Yojana — Rajasthan's unique scheme providing ₹500/month for ages 0-6 and ₹1,000/month for ages 6-18, with ₹2,000 annual additional assistance where applicable raised by relatives of disabled/widowed/destitute parents (cited as a national model); (2) Social Security Disability Pension: ₹750–1,000/month for 40%+ disability; (3) Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Scooty Yojana: scooties/tricycles for disabled students in higher education; (4) District Disability Rehabilitation Centres (DDRCs): 10 centres across Rajasthan providing free diagnostic, therapeutic, and vocational services; (5) UDID card distribution camps: CM Bhajanlal Sharma committed to 100% UDID coverage in 2025-26; (6) Special schools for visually impaired, hearing impaired, and intellectually disabled students; (7) ADIP scheme assistive device distribution camps. Rajasthan's Social Justice and Empowerment Department operates under the broader framework of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), ratified by India in 2007.
