The India AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, concluded successfully with a strong global endorsement of India's vision for responsible and inclusive artificial intelligence. The five-day summit (February 16–20, 2026) was the first global convening of this scale on artificial intelligence organised in the Global South. It witnessed participation from over 100 government representatives, including more than 20 Heads of State and Government, 60 Ministers, and over 500 global AI leaders. India used the summit to position itself as a key connector in the global AI ecosystem, sharing its AI tools and frameworks and advocating for open AI models. India's Secretary of External Affairs highlighted India's commitment to using AI for affordable healthcare, smart agriculture, and sustainable development. The summit reinforced India's growing stature in global technology governance, coming on the heels of Reliance's announcement of a ₹10 trillion investment to build India's Sovereign Compute Power.
