Under Yuva Sangam Phase VI, a Karnataka delegation led by the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad completed an educational and cultural tour of Rajasthan. The visit was organised by the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, which hosted the participants. The tour concluded on Friday, 12 June 2026, familiarising the delegates with the state's vibrant traditions, heritage and academic ecosystem. A significant feature of the visit was the delegation's meeting with the Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, at Lok Bhawan, Jaipur, on Tuesday, 9 June 2026. The Governor encouraged the participants to embrace India's cultural diversity, contribute actively to nation-building and become ambassadors of national unity. He stressed the importance of youth engagement in strengthening social harmony and mutual understanding between regions. During their stay, the delegates visited several major historical and cultural sites and experienced Rajasthan's rich heritage, architectural grandeur and folk culture through cultural performances and interactions with local artists. The delegation also toured MNIT Jaipur's academic and research facilities, interacting with faculty, researchers and students on innovation projects, research initiatives and entrepreneurship. As part of experiential learning, they observed various developmental and infrastructural sites, gaining insight into urban development, sustainable practices, tourism promotion and public administration. Yuva Sangam Phase VI was launched by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme to promote national integration and strengthen people-to-people contact among the youth.
