Vice-President of India Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan visited Rajasthan on November 22, 2025. The Vice-President of India, in accordance with the constitutional role, represents the government at key state-level events, inaugurations, and cultural-educational programmes. C.P. Radhakrishnan, the 15th Vice-President of India (took charge on 12 September 2025), was formerly the Governor of Jharkhand, Telangana, and Maharashtra before being elevated to the Vice-Presidency. His visit to Rajasthan aligned with the state's focus on education, welfare schemes, and governance reforms being championed by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma's government. The Vice-President of India also serves as the ex-officio Chancellor of all Central Universities, making educational institution visits and governance reviews a central part of his role. Rajasthan has several Central Universities including Central University of Rajasthan (Ajmer) and has been working to expand higher education access — relevant to the Vice-President's constitutional and ceremonial functions during such state visits.
