The Rajasthan Cabinet under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma approved an increase in the number of members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) from 7 to 10. The decision was made to reduce pendency, speed up recruitment examinations, and ensure timely filling of government vacancies in the state. The amendment was carried out through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulation, 1974. Three new member positions were created to distribute workload more efficiently across RPSC's examination and recruitment functions. The move was welcomed by youth groups and aspirants who had long complained about delays in RPSC exams. The expansion is part of the Bhajanlal Sharma government's broader governance reform agenda, which has also included the Heal in Rajasthan (medical tourism) policy, a new Township Policy, and a City Gas Distribution policy approved in the same cabinet meeting period.
