The Rajasthan Health Department announced the FCM Pink Drive, scheduled from November 17 to 30, 2025, to combat anaemia — a leading cause of maternal deaths in the state. The initiative promotes the use of Ferric Carboxymaltose (FCM) injections, which are effective in treating severe iron deficiency anaemia in pregnant women. Rajasthan has consistently reported high anaemia prevalence among pregnant women, contributing to elevated Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR). The drive aligns with the National Nutrition Mission (Poshan Abhiyaan) and the government's target to reduce Rajasthan's MMR under the National Health Policy 2017 goals.
