On October 18, 2025, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma transferred ₹717.96 crore directly to the bank accounts of 72 lakh farmers as the fourth installment of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Under this scheme, the state government supplements the Centre's PM-KISAN (₹6,000/year) with an additional ₹3,000 per year, raising the total annual benefit to ₹9,000 per farmer. The scheme targets small and marginal farmers across Rajasthan, a state where over 60% of the workforce is engaged in agriculture. The DBT mechanism eliminates middlemen, reduces leakages, and ensures timely delivery of benefits.
