Rajasthan has launched the e-Swasthya Samvad digital platform to make medical education governance and coordination in health services more structured. The platform was launched by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Medical Education Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar. For current-affairs preparation, the item is linked to the publish date of 30 December 2025 and is important because it connects state-level digital governance with accountability and faster implementation of health-service work.
The core purpose of e-Swasthya Samvad is to create a regular digital interface among the medical education department, senior officials, faculty, students and the public. Video conferences will be held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Phase 1 will be held at 5 PM for senior officials, while Phase 2 will be held at 6 PM for interaction with faculty, students and the public. This structure is meant to support quicker decision-making and reduced delays in programme implementation.
The initiative requires Action Taken Reports within 72 hours. Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore coordinates the initiative. For exams, the directly memorable points are the 72-hour Action Taken Report rule, twice-weekly video conferences and accountability in the medical education department. In prelims, questions may focus on the platform's purpose, meeting frequency, timings and the 72-hour Action Taken Report rule. In mains, it can be used as an example of improving accountability, technology-based administration and transparency in the medical education system. As a static-GK linkage, it should be read with good governance, e-governance and public service delivery.
