Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on January 22, 2026, reviewed preparations for the Gram Utthan Shivirs (Village Upliftment Camps) linked to the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) 2026 initiative. The camps are scheduled to be organised from January 23, coinciding with Basant Panchami, at the Girdawari Circle level across the state in two phases spanning 10 days, with the primary objective of delivering agricultural welfare schemes and government services directly to farmers at their doorstep.

Services to be provided at the Gram Utthan Shivirs include installation and commissioning of micro-irrigation systems, distribution of farm input incentives and subsidies, on-site registration for PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi and state-level agriculture support schemes, distribution of soil health cards with crop-specific recommendations, and demonstrations of modern farming techniques. The initiative aims to bridge the last-mile delivery gap in agricultural services in rural Rajasthan.

The GRAM 2026 main event was held earlier at JECC Sitapura, Jaipur from January 10 to 12, 2026, with participation from approximately 70,000 farmers, agri-tech companies, and agricultural scientists from across India and abroad. The three-day event showcased advanced agricultural technologies, precision farming equipment, and sustainable farming practices. Chief Minister Sharma emphasised that the Gram Utthan Shivirs represent the ground-level extension of GRAM 2026, ensuring that the benefits of agricultural innovation reach every village in Rajasthan. The India Meteorological Department also forecast a Western Disturbance impacting Rajasthan from this date, with yellow alerts issued for rain in parts of the state.
