Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya unveiled the logo of the Cycling League of India (CLI) on March 5, 2026 — the world's first franchise-based road cycling league. CLI will feature eight regional franchises, aimed at strengthening India's professional cycling ecosystem and creating a commercial platform for the sport.

The league is designed to bring cycling into the mainstream sports entertainment space in India, similar to what IPL did for cricket and ISL for football. India currently has limited representation in international cycling events; the CLI aims to develop grassroots talent and create pathways for cyclists to compete at Asian and Olympic levels. Rajasthan's terrain, particularly in Udaipur and Aravalli region, is being considered for race routes.
