Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on April 12, 2026 attended the 'Vyapar Rajasthan – 2026' programme in Jaipur, where he interacted with entrepreneurs, dealers, manufacturers, financial institutions and policymakers from the automobile sector and underlined his government's priorities of industrial growth, investment promotion and employment generation. Organised by trade and industry bodies, the Vyapar Rajasthan platform brought together stakeholders to deliberate on the future of the automobile retail and manufacturing ecosystem in the state, including dealer networks, components manufacturing, EV charging infrastructure and automobile financing. In his address, the Chief Minister said the automobile sector plays a crucial role in accelerating economic development in Rajasthan and stated, "Our government is committed to transforming Rajasthan into a leading industrial hub and generating widespread employment through transparent policies, robust infrastructure and an investor-friendly environment." He highlighted the state's recent Rising Rajasthan and Vibrant Rajasthan initiatives, ongoing work on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and dedicated freight corridor, and the imminent inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the HPCL Pachpadra Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex in Balotra (Barmer) on April 21, 2026. The CM also launched a sharp political attack on the Congress during his address, accusing it of practising appeasement politics and highlighting welfare schemes of the Centre and the state for OBC, SC, ST and women beneficiaries. The Vyapar Rajasthan event comes amid the state's preparations for the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) 2026 in May and aims to position Rajasthan as a preferred destination for automobile and ancillary investments.
