The 38th India-France Strategic Dialogue was held in New Delhi on January 13, 2026, co-chaired by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and French Diplomatic Adviser Emmanuel Bonne. The dialogue covered security, defence industrial cooperation, technology, space, and nuclear partnership.

The leaders signed a Joint Declaration of Intent to strengthen bilateral defence industrial cooperation and reviewed preparations for President Macron's upcoming visit to India. France reiterated support for India's permanent membership in a reformed UN Security Council. The two sides also discussed Indo-Pacific maritime security and counter-terrorism cooperation. India and France share a special strategic partnership since 1998.
