Detailed analysis of the Union Budget 2026-27 showed the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy received ₹32,914 crore, up 30.1% from ₹25,301 crore in 2025-26. Solar energy allocation was ₹30,539 crore, up 32.1%. PM Surya Ghar (Rooftop Solar) received ₹22,000 crore, a 10% increase. PM-KUSUM for solar irrigation rose from ₹2,600 crore to ₹5,000 crore.

The National Green Hydrogen Mission received ₹600 crore for FY 2026-27. Customs duty exemptions were extended for lithium-ion battery capital goods and critical minerals processing equipment. Rajasthan, India's leader in renewable energy with installed capacity exceeding 31,500 MW, stands to benefit significantly from these enhanced allocations.
