India's resolution on 'Strengthening the Global Management of Wildfires' was adopted at the 7th United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7). The resolution aims to strengthen international cooperation and coordinated action for wildfire management across nations.

India has witnessed increasing wildfire incidents, particularly in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan's Sariska and Ranthambore regions. The resolution calls for technology sharing for early detection using satellite monitoring and AI-based prediction, capacity building in developing countries, and integration of wildfire management into national climate adaptation plans. UNEA is the world's highest-level environmental decision-making body, with all 193 UN member states as members.
