Mongolian President Uknaagiin Khurelsukh visited India from October 13-16, 2025, marking the first presidential visit in six years and commemorating 70 years of India-Mongolia diplomatic relations. PM Modi and President Khurelsukh adopted a Joint Statement on strengthening the Strategic Partnership and signed 10 MoUs covering heritage, minerals, digital solutions, and humanitarian aid.

Key outcomes include Mongolia joining the International Solar Alliance (ISA), appointment of India's first resident defence attache in Ulaanbaatar, establishment of third-neighbour port access arrangements, and gratis e-visas for Mongolian nationals. India's $1.7 billion oil refinery project in Mongolia — its largest such overseas project — was reviewed. The visit deepens India's 'Act North' dimension alongside the established 'Act East' policy.
