India added 57 new billionaires in 2025-26, taking the country's total to 308 and maintaining its third position globally after the United States and China in the Hurun Global Rich List 2026. Mumbai emerged as India's billionaire hub, adding 15 new billionaires in the year — surpassing New York (14) and London (9). The combined wealth of Indian billionaires reached approximately ₹112.6 trillion. Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries retained his position as India's richest person. Hurun highlighted healthcare, auto components, energy and financial services among the sectors represented by India's new billionaire entrants.
