Vice President of India Shri C P Radhakrishnan on 29 May 2026 began a three day official visit to Karnataka, Goa and Kerala under his constitutional functions of dignitary representation and outreach. On the first day in Karnataka, the Vice President attended the global celebrations marking 45 years of the Art of Living Foundation in Bengaluru, recognising the Foundations contribution to yoga, mental wellness and humanitarian relief across more than 180 countries. Later in the day, he participated in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the University BDT College of Engineering at Davangere, one of the oldest engineering institutions of the state, where he is expected to underline the importance of research, innovation and Atmanirbhar Bharat in the National Education Policy 2020 era. On 30 May 2026, the Vice President will take part in the Statehood Day celebrations of Goa at Panaji marking sixty four years since the liberation from Portuguese rule and the formation of Goa as a Union Territory in 1961 and as the twenty fifth State in 1987 under the Constitution Fifty Sixth Amendment Act. He will subsequently visit the CSIR National Institute of Oceanography at Dona Paula, the premier marine research institution of India. On 31 May 2026, he will visit the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple, inaugurate the SIRI Industrial Park at Belthangady to boost rural industrialisation in Karnataka and then travel to Kottayam in Kerala to inaugurate the 140th Foundation Anniversary celebrations of the Deepika Malayalam Daily, one of the oldest continuously published newspapers in India.
