NITI Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform and DP World launched 'We Rise - Women Entrepreneurs Reimagining Inclusive and Sustainable Enterprises' as an initiative to support women entrepreneurs and women-led MSMEs in accessing global markets. The initiative is important because it treats women entrepreneurship not as a narrow credit issue, but as an ecosystem question involving market linkages, training, mentorship, trade facilitation, and logistics support.

For exam preparation, the key governance angle is the public-private partnership model. The programme operates under WEP's Award to Reward initiative. It seeks to identify and mentor 100 high-potential women entrepreneurs, improve their export readiness, help them meet global trade requirements, and strengthen business capacity. Selected entrepreneurs may also get an opportunity to showcase their products at Bharat Mart in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The static-GK linkage connects MSMEs, women-led development, inclusive growth, export readiness, and entrepreneurship ecosystems. WEP was incubated in NITI Aayog in 2018, transitioned into a public-private partnership in 2022, and works with more than 47 partners. It addresses six ecosystem needs: access to finance, market linkages, training and skilling, mentoring and networking, compliance and legal assistance, and business development services. In prelims, questions may focus on the initiative, institutions, and objectives; in mains, it is a useful example for women's economic participation, MSME competitiveness, and export-oriented inclusive growth.
