PSLV-N1: India's First Industry-Produced PSLV Scheduled Under HAL-L&T Consortium Contract
NSIL has contracted the HAL-L&T consortium for end-to-end production of five PSLV-XL launch vehicles. Official ISRO material describes the first Indian industry-produced PSLV-N1 as scheduled for launch during Q1 of 2026. Until an official post-launch release is available, the item should not state that PSLV-N1 has already launched, carried EOS-10/Oceansat-3A, or demonstrated a completed shift in ISRO's operational role.
This programme is a key step in India's space-sector reforms, transferring serial production of an operational launch vehicle to Indian industry under the IN-SPACe framework. ISRO continues to provide design heritage, technology and mission oversight while the consortium handles fabrication and integration.
