Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched the Rajasthan Artificial Intelligence–Machine Learning (AI-ML) Policy 2026 and the National AI Literacy Programme at the inaugural Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Conference-2026, held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC). The AI-ML Policy 2026 focuses on expanding e-governance through the responsible, ethical, and secure use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Key provisions include the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI-CoE), and the promotion of AI education across schools, colleges, ITIs, and polytechnics in Rajasthan. The policy also envisages AI-driven public service delivery, data governance frameworks, and capacity building for government employees. The National AI Literacy Programme aims to spread awareness and build practical AI skills among students and youth nationwide. The conference brought together government officials, technology industry leaders, academia, and startups to chart Rajasthan's roadmap for ethical and practical AI deployment. The AI-ML Policy 2026 positions Rajasthan as one of India's pioneering states in formalising an AI governance framework at the state level, aligned with the Union government's National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (NSAI) and the IndiaAI Mission. The policy prioritises cybersecurity safeguards, privacy protections, and inclusive AI to ensure benefits reach citizens at the grassroots level.
