Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the BJP/NDA's Bihar Assembly election campaign with rallies in Samastipur and Begusarai on October 24, 2025. Before his Samastipur rally, Modi visited Karpurigram, the birthplace of the late socialist leader Karpoori Thakur (former Bihar CM), who received the Bharat Ratna from the NDA government in 2024. Modi declared that 'NDA under Nitish Kumar will break all electoral records' in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly polls, held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting on November 14. The election featured a three-way contest: NDA (BJP-JDU), RJD-Congress alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav, and Jan Suraaj Party led by political strategist Prashant Kishor.
